Terms of service.

1. Agreement

Mastering Robotic Thoracic Surgery (“MRTS”, “we”, “us”) is owned and operated by MRTS LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, which runs the video library at mrtsurgery.com with its team of practicing surgeons. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use MRTS. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data.

2. Medical education disclaimer

• The videos document how specific surgeons approached specific cases. They are teaching material, not clinical guidelines, protocols, or instructions for treatment.
• Nothing on MRTS creates a physician–patient relationship between you, us, or any surgeon appearing in the content.
• Surgical techniques shown here may only be performed by appropriately qualified, licensed, and credentialed professionals, exercising their own independent clinical judgment, within the rules and protocols of their own institutions.
• Medicine evolves. Content reflects the practices and evidence available at the time of recording and may become outdated.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, MRTS and its contributors accept no responsibility for clinical decisions or outcomes arising from the use of this material.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• MRTS is intended for medical professionals, trainees, and others with a professional interest in robotic thoracic surgery.
• Your account is personal. Keep your credentials confidential and do not share your account with others.
• You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us at info@mrtsurgery.com.
• You can delete your account at any time from your account page. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
• Questions you send us. Each procedure page lets you send the MRTS team a question. Questions are stored with your account and answered by email from info@mrtsurgery.com. Describe cases in general terms only — do not include patient-identifiable information or any other protected health information in a question.

4. Content and licence

All content on MRTS — videos, narration, text, imagery, and the library structure itself — belongs to MRTS LLC and its contributing surgeons and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to stream and view the content for your own professional education. You may not:

• download, record, screen-capture, copy, or redistribute any video or substantial part of the library;
• republish, sell, sublicense, or use the content commercially, including in courses, presentations, or publications, without our prior written permission;
• circumvent, disable, or interfere with playback protection or other security features of the site;
• scrape, crawl, or bulk-download any part of the site or its data.

5. Acceptable use

Use MRTS lawfully and in good faith. Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems, or data; probe or test the site’s security without our written permission; or use the service in any way that could disable, overburden, or impair it.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep MRTS available and accurate, but the service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may add, change, or remove content and features at any time, and we may suspend the service for maintenance. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms — in particular the content licence in section 4 or the acceptable-use rules in section 5. Where reasonable, we will warn you first.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MRTS and its contributors are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site, and our total liability in connection with the service is limited to the amount you have paid us to use it (currently: nothing, as the service is free). Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will announce them on the site before they take effect. Continuing to use MRTS after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia and the United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of MRTS will be brought in the state or federal courts located in the State of Georgia, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If you use MRTS as a consumer resident in the European Union, this does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
